Economic Impact

• HFHDC’s homeowners collectively contribute approximately $85,000 in property taxes annually which is a positive reflection on the economy in DeKalb County.
• In Fiscal Year 2023, HFHDC tithed $90,000 which is distributed to Habitat Global partners in most need.

Positive Community Impact

• HFHDC participated in 6 Home Preservation projects in DeKalb County in the first eight months of 2024. HFHDC has also provided repairs for two homes that house Veterans.
• In 2024 HFHDC was nominated as Nonprofit of the Year through the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce.

Built on Faith

• Habitat’s roots trace back to Koinonia Farm in Americus, Georgia, founded by Clarence Jordan.
• While personal faith isn’t required for volunteers, our mission is rooted in serving others.
